As a church with roots in the Reformed tradition, we celebrate two sacraments—Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Communion).

We typically share the Lord's Supper on the first and third Sundays of the month at all of our worship services as well as at several special church holidays throughout the year. You do not need to be a member of WPC (or even a member of the Presbyterian Church) to receive communion-the table is open to all who, in faith, call upon Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We share communion by coming forward to receive the elements by intinction (breaking bread off the loaf and dipping it in the cup).

Baptisms for adult and infants are authorized by the church Session. Because each baptism includes a vow of support taken by the congregation, those presenting themselves or their children for baptism are usually part of the worshipping body of WPC or another Christian congregation. Requests for baptism are made to the Session through the Pastor. Our Pastor will customarily meet with those requesting baptism for a time of instruction, preparation, and prayer.
